O'fallon Meet Highlights

O'fallon Quad Meet - Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Vs. O'fallon, Alton and Granie City

We had many great performances at the first outdoor meet of the season! I was really impressed with everyone's efforts. Many girls were running in their particular event for the first time and really stepped up. We even had PR's (personal records) set today!

This meet was a great learning and training experience. It will make us better for the big meets later in the year! Great Job Girls!

Hannah Faulkner - New PR in the Pole Vault 9'6" !!
Alyssa Rimkus - New PR in the Pole Vault 7'0" !!

Laila Jason - Ran a 26.1 200m dash against Jessica Lenoir from Alton, a great race to watch and a great effort/time by Laila!

Madi Pranger - 16'7" in the long jump!!

Katie Speicher - 6:14 in the 1600m run, this was her first race back from injury (and she was running sick)!!! Great Job Kaite!!

Jenna Beck - 13:09 in the 32000m run (2 mile) 4th Place . This was Jenna's first distance race EVER!!!

Distance Runner 4x400 Team - These girls represented their team against the sprinters from other teams and ran a great race (Ellen Atwood, Stephanie Dalla Riva, Diane Frese, Briana Chamberlain). Great Effort/Job Girls!

Kayla Johnson - 2:44 (800m run) This was her very first time running this race!

Cherelle Jackson - 2:46 (800m run) NEW PR!! This was ten seconds faster than her previous PR! Cross Country paid off Cherelle!!

Congratulations to the Edwardsville Girls Track team for their second place team finish at the Mahomet Seymour Indoor Track and Field Invitational. The girls finished with 120 team points. Mahomet Seymour scored 140 points for a first place team finish. Conference rival Belleville West finsihed in third place.

Driving Directions
-Take Interstate 55 North to Springfield, IL
-Once in Springfield take Interstate 72 East towards Decatur
-Proceed through Decatur on Interstate 72 (east towards Champaign)
-Take the Mahomet (Illinois Route 47) Exit (Exit #176)
-Take a left at the top of the Ramp, head north on Route 47 towards Mahomet (5-6 miles)
-Once in Mahomet Route 47 becomes Division Street (Proceed North on Division)
-Go Straight through the traffic light on Division Street
-Go Straight through the first four-way stop (Main Street)
-At the second four-ways stop, take a left (State Street)
-The High School will be over the first small hill on your right (about ¼ mile down)

Look for the U.S. Route 267 signs and follow north
You will go through the town of Greenfield, IL
U.S. Route 267 will take you to Jacksonville, IL
Head into town when arriving in Jacksonville (keep going straight, stay on the same road, 267 becomes Main Street)
Turn Left (West) on Morton Ave.
Turn Right (North) on Lincoln Ave.
Bruner will be on your right ¼ mile ahead
