Congratulations to the Edwardsville Girls Track and Field Team for their third place team finish! All first and second place individual finishers qualified for the state meet along with the 4x200 relay team who ran below the qualifying time. Shanice Rice and Laila Jason narowly missed state in the 100m Hurdles but both qualified in their other individual event and both relays. Good Luck at the state meet next Friday and Saturday!!

Girls Track Banquet - May 28th

The Edwardsville Girls Track and Field Banquet will take place on Thursday, May 28th at 6:30pm. It will be held at the EHS Commons.

Conference Results

The Edwardsville Girls Track Team finished in fourth place as a team at the Southewestern Illinois Conference Track Meet. O'fallon finished first as a team while East St. Louis was second and Belleville West fourth.

We had many great performances today! PR's were set and efforts were GREAT! We compete against great teams in our very competitive conference.

A special thank you to Robin Umbaugh and Kayla Johnson for filling in for an injured teammate, you both ran well today.

Congratulations to Michelle Pranger and Hannah Faulkner for their individual conference championships in the discus and pole vault respectively! Great Job Girls!!

Congratulations to senior Michelle Pranger for breaking the school record in the disc today! Michelle's throw of 128'0" broke the old school record of 124'10" which she set two days ago at the Lafayette Invitational. Great job Michelle!!

Congratulations to freshman Lizzie Anderson for her first place finish in the mile!! This was her first individual win at the high school level. Lizzie battled a Belleville West runner step for step the last 100m to win! Great job Lizzie!!

A special thank you to Laila Jason and Shanice Rice for running the 4x400 at 4:00pm despite having the prom to attend. You both helped your team to victory in this last race of the meet!! Without first place in the 4x400 the team would not have won this meet.

Congratulations to senior Michelle Pranger for breaking the school record in the disc today!!!
Michelle won the meet in this event with a throw of 124'10". The old school record was 124'3" (set in 1983 by Theresa Johnson). We are all proud of you Michelle. Keep up the Great work!

A special thank you to Madi Pranger for participating in the pentathlon today. Madi placed second overall in this event earning her team 8 points! She finished in first place in the pentathlon 100m dash. Madi also cleared 5'0" in the pentathlon high jump, her first time ever high jumping!! Great Job Madi!!!

O'fallon Quad Meet - Wednesday, March 25, 2009

We had many great performances at the first outdoor meet of the season! I was really impressed with everyone's efforts. Many girls were running in their particular event for the first time and really stepped up. We even had PR's (personal records) set today!

This meet was a great learning and training experience. It will make us better for the big meets later in the year! Great Job Girls!

Hannah Faulkner - New PR in the Pole Vault 9'6" !!
Alyssa Rimkus - New PR in the Pole Vault 7'0" !!

Laila Jason - Ran a 26.1 200m dash against Jessica Lenoir from Alton, a great race to watch and a great effort/time by Laila!

Madi Pranger - 16'7" in the long jump!!

Katie Speicher - 6:14 in the 1600m run, this was her first race back from injury (and she was running sick)!!! Great Job Kaite!!

Jenna Beck - 13:09 in the 32000m run (2 mile) 4th Place . This was Jenna's first distance race EVER!!!

Congratulations to the Edwardsville Girls Track team for their second place team finish at the Mahomet Seymour Indoor Track and Field Invitational. The girls finished with 120 team points. Mahomet Seymour scored 140 points for a first place team finish. Conference rival Belleville West finsihed in third place.

-Take Interstate 55 North to Springfield, IL
-Once in Springfield take Interstate 72 East towards Decatur

-Take the Mahomet (Illinois Route 47) Exit (Exit #176)
-Take a left at the top of the Ramp, head north on Route 47 towards Mahomet (5-6 miles)
-Once in Mahomet Route 47 becomes Division Street (Proceed North on Division)
-Go Straight through the traffic light on Division Street
-Go Straight through the first four-way stop (Main Street)
-At the second four-ways stop, take a left (State Street)
-The High School will be over the first small hill on your right (about ¼ mile down)
